This type of sling forms a continuous loop, so it is used in situations where extra flexibility is needed, or when rigging is too short for a more traditional wire rope sling with eyes on each end. A mechanical splice grommet is made from a continuous length of wire ripe. The end can be joined by mechanical sleeves or swaged sleeves. Looking for other types
